The Indeks Box Sofa is our take on a mid-century classic that we have designed and made in Norway. It was originally created for Oslo’s iconic Indekshuset; a brutalist building from the 1960s. With its solid wood exterior and its soft upholstered interior the sofa is beautiful from every angle, including the back. This sofa is suitable for both private and public spaces.

The exterior of the Indeks Box Sofa is made of solid oak, birch or pine which can be delivered in your choice of oiled finish. The interior upholstery can be ordered in leather or a wool blend from Gudbrandsdalens Uldvarefabrik. The sofa sits on a a pair of sophisticated powder coated steel feet. Recently, the Re-Box Sofa made from reused, recycled and surplus materials has been added to the collection.
The clean lines and restrained use of ornamentation mean that the Indeks Box Sofa relies on exceptional craftsmanship and precision in every detail. This focus brings the quality of materials, construction, and finish to the forefront, allowing the sofa’s character to emerge through its making.
As the Indeks Box Sofa is made to order, there are an infinite number of combinations of oil finishes, leather or upholstery fabric available.
